“Hello to you out there in normal land!”
Our crowd funding campaign on IndieGoGo is a go go…
Here’s a brief overview of the perks that we’re offering for getting involved and helping us out. A more detailed overview of the perks can be found on our funding page.
Films are made to be seen and this is one of the many reasons why I love crowd funding. It’s not just about raising money to fund your film, it’s also about finding your audience and giving them the opportunity to watch the film once it’s been completed.
I’ve been a huge fan of, and have supported low budget independent films for years, but most of the films that I’ve supported during their production, I have never seen and most likely never will as they failed to gain distribution deals and have just been written off as a loss.
Through crowd funding, allowing control to be kept with the filmmakers and with perks like getting copies of the DVD of the final film, it ensures that you can actually see the results of your support and filmmakers can get their films seen and enjoyed whether it gains major distribution or not.
This is why our goal on IndieGoGo isn’t just to raise money so that we can make ‘Own Worst Enemy’, but we also want to find our audience. The download and DVD perks are at a very reasonable price as we want as many people as possible to be able to see our film – and hopefully enjoy it. Any amount contributed comes with a ‘Thank You’ credit, but it’s not just a credit, it’s a genuinely sincere ‘thank you’ for being part of the process of helping to create this film and bring it into existence. We can’t make it without you, so we appreciate any and all support.
We hope that by helping us and contributing, we can give something back to you when you watch the film.
The ‘Thank You’ credits have already started to be added to the site in the cast & crew section.
Please check out our IndieGoGo page and please consider becoming part of making our movie.
Even if you can’t contribute, just sharing our page would be a massive, massive help.
Thanks for all your support so far 🙂
